This blog is intended to assist those who require to identify medicines in the benzodiazepine family primarily, but many analgesics and some other meds are also included. They are a mixture of my own photos and those in the public domain; some have been copied from websites who use stock photos.
Although the blogger, myself, lives in the United Kingdom, most of the medicines shown here are manufactured in Europe and the USA. I hope to be able to add a lot more photos in the near future; in the UK, the vast majority of prescribed medicines are the cheapest of the cheap generics, branded medicines being available only on very expensive private prescriptions. My own monthly prescription for alprazolam is filled with branded XANAX 500mcg, made by the company PHARMACIA which encompasses the old companies Pfizer and Upjohn. The imprint is still the old one of 'UPJOHN 55'. The Upjohn XANAX of 1 and2mg strengths, coded '90' and '94' (long white bar) respectively, have now been deleted from the formulary, so the 500mcg tablet is now the strongest one can be prescribed here.
Likewise there are included here a couple of meds not available outside the USA, like hydrocodone (dihydrocodeineone) and meperidine.
Less words, more images, methinks.
